Box Sash Windows

The Box Sash Window - A classic and traditional styling; the idea of a Box Sash Window comes from the weights which are stored in a ‘Box’ created by the external and internal liners over-sailing on each side of the frame- the weights are used in concordance with cords and pulleys to counter balance the sashes enabling the seamless yet sturdy vertical movement when operating.

Variants of installation can include ‘rebated reveal’ construction allowing for the box to be mostly hidden by the external brick, stone or otherwise or a close positioning to the face of the wall can allow for the box to be on display and decorated in architraves.

A large variety of finishes, timber, glazing, ironmongery and add-ons can be factored into your Box Sash Window on request.
